How to Get Involved with GOTR-DC This Fall

Registration for Girls on the Run (grades 3–5) and Heart & Sole (grades 6–8) is open, and we’re gearing up for an awesome Fall 2025 season starting the week of September 15.

Whether you’re a parent, educator, community leader, or someone who loves to give back, there’s a way for you to get involved.

1️⃣ Register Your Child

Give her the gift of confidence, connection, and joy.
Over 10 weeks, she’ll learn valuable life skills, set personal goals, and cross the finish line at our celebratory 5K, her way.

Why It Matters

Every girl deserves a place where she feels supported, valued, and empowered to be herself. Our trained coaches create a safe, uplifting space for girls to try new things, overcome challenges, and discover their limitless potential.

Don't see your preferred location? Don't worry, sites are being added on a rolling basis. Email your questions to info@gotrdc.org.

2️⃣ Start a Team at Your School or Community Site

Bring Girls on the Run or Heart & Sole to the youth in your community. As a site liaison, you’ll work with our staff to host practices twice a week before or after school. We provide the curriculum, training, and support, you provide the space and encouragement.

3️⃣ Volunteer as a Coach or Event Helper

You don’t need to be a runner, just an encourager! Coaches lead teams through the GOTR curriculum, while one-time volunteers help at events like our 5K. Both roles directly impact girls’ lives.
